                Maria Marable-Bunch

                  在其職業生涯中,曾任職于不同博物館,包括賓夕法尼亞州費城藝術博物館、加利福尼亞州帕薩迪納市西南博物館和兒童博物館、史密森學會中央教育辦公室和華盛頓特區的國家美術館、伊利諾伊州的芝加哥藝術學院。長久以來,致力于營造更廣泛的學習環境,以便為博物館觀眾開發執行教育項目,并提供教育機會。為表彰其長期工作和對博物館教育領域的貢獻,美國博物館協會教育委員會于2018年年會為其頒發卓越實踐獎。

                  Ms. Marable-Bunch is the Associate Director of Museum Learning and Programs at the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI). She is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive education and outreach plan for the Museum – on-site visitor experience and electronic education. The museum recently launched a national education initiative - Native Knowledge 360 to transform the narrative in school curriculum around Native history and culture. 


                  Prior to joining NMAI, Maria was the director of education and public programs at the National Archives Museum, Washington, DC where she developed their first national education initiative to raise the agency’s outreach presence and bringing national recognition of its educational potential. Her most notable achievement was the six-part series, National Conversations on Rights and Justice, which took place across the country to honor the 225th Anniversary of the Bill of Rights. Throughout her career, Maria has worked at a range of museums - the Philadelphia Art Museum, Philadelphia, PA; the Southwest Museum and Kidspace Children’s Museum, Pasadena, CA; the Smithsonian Institution Central Education Office and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC; and the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL – building an extensive background in creating and implementing public programs and educational opportunities for all museum visitors. In recognition of her career-long work and contribution to the museum education field, she was awarded the American Alliance of Museums Education Committee’s Excellence in Practice Award at its 2018 annual conference in Phoenix, AZ.


                  Maria has a Master Degree in Museum Education from George Washington University, Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of the Arts and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA.
