2017年,加入國際博協,現為遺產保護與能力建設部的負責人。任職期間,負責與文化遺產保護相關的運營項目,以及與博物館主題相關的培訓和提高認知活動。經常代表國際博協出席關于打擊非法販運文化遺產戰略的國際會議。
在加入國際博協之前,曾是一名法律顧問和機構事務協調員。2008年至2015年,在聯合國教科文組織擔任聯合專家致力于推動頒布于1970年《關于禁止和防止非法進出口文化財產和非法轉讓其所有權方法的公約》的實施。作為一名助理專家,積極促進了該公約的振興,起草了許多關于文化物品流通的工作文件和法律公告。定期參加文化遺產保護法相關的國際會議,并作為發言人參與該主題下的區域性研討會。
2006年至2008年,在比利時魯汶大學取得法學碩士和藝術史碩士學位。2008年,在法國巴黎第一大學取得藝術市場碩士學位。
Sophie Delepierre is the Head of Heritage Protection and Capacity Building Department at the International Council of Museums (ICOM), which she joined in 2017. In this position, she leads operational programs related to protection of cultural heritage as well as training and awareness raising activities on museum’s related subjects. She regularly represents ICOM at international conferences on the strategies to fight the illicit trafficking of cultural property. Previously at ICOM, she was the Legal Advisor and Institutional Affairs Coordinator.
Before joining ICOM, she served as Associated Expert at UNESCO from 2008 to 2015. She worked on the implementation of the 1970 Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property. As Assistant Specialist, she actively contributed in the revitalization of this Convention and drafted numerous working documents and legal notices on the circulation of cultural goods. She also regularly participated in international conferences on the legal aspects of the cultural heritage protection and as speaker in regional workshops on this subject.
Sophie Delepierre holds a Master in Law and a Master in Art History from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium (2006 and 2008) and a Master in Art Market from the Université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France (2008).
